Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has returned to Ghana after receiving medical care in the United Kingdom. She arrived at Kotoka International Airport on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m.

Her arrival was met with a warm reception from President John Dramani Mahama, First Lady Lordina Mahama, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Gender Minister Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, and other senior government officials .

In her brief remarks, Vice President Opoku-Agyemang expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for their prayers and support during her recovery. She also thanked her medical team at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC) and acknowledged the support of President Mahama and his brother, Ibrahim Mahama

Following her full recovery, she is expected to resume her official duties in the coming days.
